Is HGH Better Than Steroids?

To some people human growth hormone (HGH) is a fancy new age drug that is used to enhance and promote muscle growth and reverse the natural aging process. The truth however, is that HGH is a naturally occurring chemical that is produced in the anterior pituitary gland located inside the brain.
It is believed to be responsible for many bodily functions such as cell and tissue growth and greatly contributes to the vitality and energy of a youthful body. The body produces HGH abundantly up to the age 30 after which production starts to taper off until it almost stops at around the age of 80.
Steroids are also produced naturally in the body. The body uses them to fight stress, and promote growth and development. Some people take anabolic steroids in the form of pills, gels or injections thinking that it can help them enhance their physical performance, especially in sports. However, many studies have shown that using steroids has many unwanted side effects.
Steroids can cause impotence, reduced sperm count and other sexual dysfunction in men, including either swelling or shrinking of testicles, and pain or difficulty in urinating. Women who used steroids have experienced deepening of voice, excessive facial hair growth, reduction in size of their breasts and changes in their menstrual cycle.
Both women and men have reported that they developed acne, gained weight rapidly, and had liver damage after taking steroid supplements. Teenagers who take steroids are likely to have stunted growth and severe acne breakouts.
The benefits derived from using steroids are short term while the damage they cause can be dangerous and unfortunately, also permanent. Steroid injections can be source of increased risk of contracting AIDS as well as other diseases like hepatitis.
HGH today is used to treat aging symptoms because of its effective anti-aging properties.. When the body becomes deficient in HGH levels, it starts to manifest many negative symptoms such as loss of stamina and vigor, osteoporosis, loss of muscle strength and mass, loss of memory, thinning hair and even significant loss of libido and sexual powers.
Human growth hormone supplements have been found to produce stunning reversal of the aging process and results from several important studies showed that those who took HGH supplements experienced an 84% improvement in their energy level; 75% improvement in their sexual potency and 88% improvement in muscle strength when combined with a daily exercise program.
Studies have also shown that it can help normalize heart and kidney functions, and even psychological well-being. Researchers who have conducted extensive studies on human growth hormone deficiency in adults are now recommending growth hormone replacement therapy in order to treat aging symptoms. They have found no evidence that such therapy causes any adverse side effects in the long run.
